Nigeria international Zaidu Sanusi has won his fourth Portuguese Super Cup after helping FC Porto secure a 1-0 victory over Torreense at the Estádio Cidade de Coimbra.
The reigning Portuguese champions claimed the title thanks to a first-half header from Danish midfielder Victor Froholdt, extending Porto's record to 25 Portuguese Super Cup trophies.
Sanusi played the full 90 minutes, delivering a disciplined performance at left-back as Porto controlled the match from start to finish. He completed 84 percent of his passes, won half of his ground duels, and finished the game with a perfect tackle success rate.
The latest triumph also marked FC Porto's 88th major trophy, making the club the most successful in Portuguese football history, one title ahead of Benfica.
Since joining Porto in 2020, the 29-year-old Super Eagles defender has now won 10 major trophies, including two Portuguese league titles and four Portuguese Super Cups. He is now among Nigeria's most decorated footballers at club level, trailing only Nwankwo Kanu (14 trophies) and John Obi Mikel (12 trophies).
