The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has introduced a new online system that allows candidates seeking admission through the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) to verify and upload their O’Level results from home without visiting Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres.
The service currently covers results issued by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC). According to JAMB, the initiative is designed to make the process faster, easier and safer while reducing long queues and errors associated with manual uploads.
How to Verify Your O’Level Result
Candidates must first obtain a Result Verification Code through the designated verification portal. They are required to:
1. Provide their National Identification Number (NIN).
2. Select the number of O’Level sittings.
3. Select the relevant examination body or bodies.
4. Provide their email address and GSM number.
5. Make payment through the available payment gateway.
6. Enter their examination number, examination series and examination year.
After successful verification, JAMB will issue a Verification Code.
Candidates must then send “VERIFY” followed by the Verification Code to 55019 or 66019. They will receive a notification confirming the verification and submission of their result.
How to Upload the Verified Result
Candidates with two O’Level sittings should log into their JAMB e-Facility dashboard and select “2026 UTME O’Level Upload.”
They should enter their Verification Code, after which their verified results will be displayed. Candidates can then select the required subjects and grades.
JAMB stated that candidates must select at least five and no more than nine subjects, with no subject selected more than once.
After making their selections, candidates should click “Apply the O’Level Results.” A notification will be sent once the upload is successfully completed.
JAMB said the new system will be particularly useful when CBT centres experience overcrowding, long queues or network difficulties. The initiative is part of the Board’s digital transformation programme aimed at allowing candidates to complete important admission processes remotely.
