Brighton Secure Rising Nigerian Star Zadok Yohanna in Long-Term Deal

Premier League club Brighton & Hove Albion have completed the signing of promising Nigerian forward Zadok Yohanna from AIK Stockholm on a five-year contract.

The 18-year-old winger has committed his future to the Seagulls until June 2031 after an impressive spell in Sweden, where he rapidly progressed from youth football to the senior team following his move from Kaduna-based Ikon Allah Academy in 2025.

Yohanna's performances attracted interest from several Premier League sides, including Chelsea, Manchester City, and Newcastle United, but Brighton ultimately secured the youngster's signature.

Speaking after completing the transfer, Yohanna expressed gratitude for reaching a major milestone in his career.

> "I am very happy to join this club because I know where I came from. I really wanted to make my family proud, and I have done that," he said.

Widely regarded as one of Nigeria's most exciting emerging talents, Yohanna has also been linked with a future call-up by Eric Chelle to the Nigerian national team.

The move marks another significant step in the teenager's rapid rise from grassroots football in Nigeria to one of the world's most competitive leagues. Brighton are expected to continue nurturing his development as he aims to establish himself in the Premier League and earn international recognition with the Super Eagles.
