Manchester United are among 19 European clubs that have already secured their places in the league phase of the 2026/27 UEFA Champions League, according to an updated UEFA access list.
The English side confirmed their return to Europe’s top competition after a 3–2 victory over Liverpool at Old Trafford earlier in the month, a result that guaranteed a top-five Premier League finish and qualification alongside clubs such as Arsenal and Manchester City.
Across Europe, most major leagues are nearing completion, with 19 of the 36 total Champions League league-phase spots already filled ahead of the new season.

The Premier League is expected to have at least five Champions League spots. Arsenal, Manchester City, and Manchester United have already confirmed qualification, while Liverpool and Aston Villa are still in contention depending on final league standings and European results.
In Spain, champions Barcelona have already sealed qualification alongside Real Madrid, Atlético Madrid, and Villarreal.
In Germany, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, and RB Leipzig are through, while Italy’s Inter Milan will return for another Champions League campaign following their Serie A success.
Paris Saint-Germain and Lens have secured spots from France, while PSV Eindhoven and Feyenoord represent the Netherland.
The remaining Champions League places will be confirmed as domestic seasons across Europe conclude in the coming weeks. The final lineup will complete the 36-team league phase format introduced in the competition’s new structure.
