FC Barcelona moved a step closer to securing the LaLiga title after a 2-1 victory over CA Osasuna, with standout performances from Ferran Torres and Lamine Yamal.
Torres scored a decisive late goal in the 86th minute, marking his 15th league goal of the season. Alongside Yamal—who has already netted 16 LaLiga goals—the duo have made history by becoming the first pair of Spanish players in over 25 years to each score at least 15 goals in a single LaLiga campaign for Barcelona.
Across all competitions, Torres has registered 20 goals and two assists in 46 appearances, surpassing his previous best tally. Meanwhile, Yamal has contributed an impressive 24 goals and 18 assists in 45 matches, underlining his growing importance to the team.
The win extends Barcelona’s lead at the top of the table to 14 points. Managed by Hansi Flick, the Catalan side could clinch the title as early as this weekend if Real Madrid fail to win their next match.
If needed, Barcelona will have another opportunity to secure the championship in the upcoming El Clásico clash against Real Madrid, where even a draw would be enough to confirm their 28th LaLiga title.
