The Kano State House of Assembly has set up a 12-member ad hoc committee to screen the nominee for the position of Deputy Governor, Murtala Sule Garo, following a formal request from Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.
The committee was constituted during plenary to examine the suitability of the nominee and report back to the House in line with constitutional procedures.
The nomination became necessary after the resignation of the former Deputy Governor, Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, creating a vacancy in the state’s executive leadership.
