At least 28 people have been killed in a series of Israeli airstrikes carried out across Lebanon, according to reports from Lebanese authorities and Anadolu Agency.
Among the dead are 13 members of Lebanon’s State Security personnel, who were reportedly killed when an airstrike hit a government security facility in the southern city of Nabatieh. Several others were also injured in the attack, and the building sustained heavy damage.
Additional airstrikes were reported in multiple areas across the country, contributing to the rising death toll. Lebanese health officials confirmed that casualties were recorded in several locations as emergency teams continued rescue operations.
The Israeli military has not issued a detailed statement on the specific strike, though it has previously said its operations in Lebanon are aimed at targets linked to Hezbollah.
The latest attacks come amid heightened cross-border tensions between Israel and Hezbollah, raising concerns over further escalation in the region.
Lebanese officials have condemned the strikes, describing them as a violation of sovereignty and international law, and have called for urgent international attention.
