Arsenal Agree Deal for Liverpool Teenage Striker Vincent Joseph as Gunners Target Elite No. 9

Arsenal have reportedly reached an agreement to sign highly rated Liverpool academy striker Vincent Joseph, according to reports.

The 16-year-old forward, who can also play as a No. 10, has impressed in Liverpool’s youth setup and was briefly promoted to the club’s Under-18 side last season. He scored three goals in his first two appearances for the team.

Joseph has also made an impact at international level, scoring eight goals in nine appearances for England Under-16s. He remains eligible to represent Germany.

Manchester United had previously shown interest in the teenager, but Arsenal have now won the race for his signature.

According to The Athletic, Joseph allowed his schoolboy contract with Liverpool to expire and decided not to sign a scholarship agreement with the club. Arsenal subsequently moved to secure his services.

The two clubs are currently discussing a compensation fee. If they fail to reach an agreement, the matter could be referred to a tribunal to determine the appropriate compensation.

Joseph has previously been compared with Bayern Munich star Jamal Musiala, highlighting the level of potential Arsenal believe he possesses.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are also searching for an established elite striker to compete with Viktor Gyökeres. The Gunners remain in contact with Julian Alvarez, although the Argentine reportedly prefers a move to Barcelona.

Arsenal are also monitoring Victor Osimhen, with reports suggesting the club have held discussions about a possible move for the Nigerian striker.

With Manchester United cooling their interest in Osimhen, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur could be among the leading contenders if the striker leaves Galatasaray this summer.
