Iran’s Revolutionary Guards Threaten Long-Term Disruption of Oil and Gas Supply to US Allies

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has warned that it could cut off oil and gas supplies to the United States and its allies for years if tensions with Washington continue to escalate.

In a statement aired on state television, the IRGC said any further aggression against Iran would trigger a response beyond the immediate region, raising fears of a broader conflict.

The Guards specifically indicated that key energy infrastructure could become targets, with the aim of disrupting supply chains and denying US allies access to vital oil and gas resources over an extended period.

Iran also signaled a shift in its military posture, stating that it would no longer exercise the same level of restraint in selecting targets as it had in the past.
