Vice President Shettima and Governor Zulum Attend Eid Prayers in Maiduguri.

The Vice President of Nigeria, Kashim Shettima, alongside the Governor of Borno State, Babagana Umara Zulum, attended the Eid al-Fitr prayers in Maiduguri.

The prayers were held at Ramat Square, where thousands of Muslims gathered to observe the worship peacefully.

Reports indicate that top government officials and traditional leaders were also in attendance, including the Shehu of Borno, members of the National and State Assemblies, and other key stakeholders in political and social affairs.

During the prayers, strict security measures were put in place to ensure safety, especially as the state continues efforts to recover from long-standing security challenges.

After the prayers, the leaders called on citizens to embrace peace, unity, and mutual understanding, while continuing to pray for lasting peace and development in the state and the country at large.

The presence of top national leaders at such an occasion highlights the importance of unity and the government’s commitment to strengthening peace in the North-East region.
