Popular Kannywood film actor, Umar Ascon, widely known as Tajo, has passed away.

The late actor, who featured in the Kannywood movie “Garwashi,” died in Kano after a period of illness. He reportedly passed away at Malam Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, where he had been receiving medical treatment.

According to family sources and close associates, preparations are currently underway for his funeral prayer, which is scheduled to take place at Al-Masjlisul Islami Mosque, located along Hotoro Ring Road, near Gidan Man Gade-Gade in Kano.
