Newcastle Hand Lewis Hall New Deal Until 2031

Newcastle United have extended defender Lewis Hall’s contract until 2031, securing the England international’s future at St James’ Park.

The 22-year-old left-back has signed a two-year extension to his previous deal, amid reported interest from Manchester United.

Hall, who grew up supporting Newcastle, described the new contract as a proud moment and said he was delighted to continue representing the club and its supporters.

“It’s an absolute pleasure to play for this club and represent the supporters,” Hall said.

Hall joined Newcastle from Chelsea in 2023 and has since made 106 appearances for the club.

He also expressed optimism about Newcastle’s progress under new head coach Matthias Jaissle, saying the team could go on to achieve major success.

Jaissle welcomed the contract extension, describing Hall as an important part of Newcastle’s long-term plans.

“He’s a very important player for us and for what we are building here,” the coach said.

He praised Hall’s mentality, defensive maturity, intelligence and technical ability, adding that the young defender still has significant room for improvement.

The contract extension highlights Newcastle’s confidence in Hall and their determination to make him a key player in the club’s future.
