Tinubu Visits Jos to Condole Victims of Plateau Killings.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived in Jos, Plateau State, on a condolence visit following recent deadly attacks in the region.

The visit follows a series of violent incidents in parts of Jos, particularly in the Angwan Rukuba area, where at least 27 people were killed and several others injured.

Tinubu postponed a planned trip to Ogun State to prioritize this visit, expressing sympathy to the Plateau State government and residents over the tragic events.

Before traveling to Jos, the President met with Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, where he received detailed briefings on the security situation and ongoing efforts to restore peace.

Security has been reinforced across the state, with the Inspector-General of Police ordering the deployment of additional Mobile Police units and tactical teams to prevent further violence and maintain order.

The condolence visit forms part of the Federal Government’s broader efforts to address security challenges in Plateau State and prevent similar attacks in the future.
