Kwankwaso Hosts Atiku as ADC Political Realignment Continues.

Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, leader of the Kwankwasiyya Movement, hosted former Vice‑President Atiku Abubakar at his Kano residence on Wednesday, highlighting ongoing political realignment ahead of Nigeria’s 2027 general elections.

The meeting is part of a series of high‑level discussions aimed at strengthening the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and coordinating opposition strategies. Atiku described the engagement as constructive, emphasizing collaboration on governance and national recovery.

Kwankwaso’s visit follows his recent defection from the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) to the ADC, a move seen by political analysts as a major shift in Nigeria’s opposition landscape.

The gathering underscores growing efforts among opposition leaders to consolidate support and prepare for the upcoming election cycle, as parties position themselves for a fiercely contested 2027 election.
