Kano State is the most populous state in Nigeria based on the official data taken by the National Bureau of Statistics followed by Lagos State as the second.
However in a recent official estimates taken by National Bureau of Statistics in 2022 found that Kano State is still leading as the largest state by population in Nigeria with a population of 15,462,200 people.
