Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, is expected to visit Anambra State on Thursday, and the state government has welcomed the planned visit.
The Anambra State Commissioner for Information, Law Mefor, said the visit shows the Federal Government’s commitment to ensuring that no state or region is left behind under President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
The main purpose of the visit is to launch the National Community Food Bank Programme for the South-East Zone.
The programme is expected to provide food and nutrition support to vulnerable groups, including widows, elderly people, persons with disabilities, nursing mothers and children.
During the visit, Mrs Tinubu is also expected to commission a new ICT Centre at the Federal Polytechnic, Oko.
The centre is designed to help students develop skills in areas such as software development, data analysis, digital marketing and remote work.
The Anambra State Government said it appreciates the Federal Government’s partnership and described the First Lady’s visit as a sign of continued support for development in the South-East.
