Norway reached the FIFA World Cup quarter-finals for the first time in their history after defeating Brazil 2-1, thanks to two late goals from star striker Erling Haaland.
After a goalless first half, Haaland broke the deadlock in the 79th minute with a powerful header from an Andreas Schjelderup cross. The Manchester City forward then doubled Norway's lead just before stoppage time with a brilliant low strike from outside the penalty area.
Brazil had earlier missed a golden opportunity to take the lead when Bruno Guimarães failed to convert a first-half penalty, with Norway goalkeeper Ørjan Nyland making a crucial save.
Veteran forward Neymar scored a late penalty in stoppage time to reduce the deficit, but Brazil could not find an equaliser as Norway held on to secure a famous victory.
The result sends Norway into the quarter-finals, where they will face the winner of the match between England and Mexico on July 11 in Miami. Brazil, meanwhile, exit the tournament despite dominating large periods of the game.
